ROBBE & BERKING
has been a SILVERSMITHING EXCELLENCE SINCE 1874. The company was founded by Nicolaus Christoph Robbe, great great grandfather of the current owner, in a small workshop where he made silver cutlery and table accessories, commissioned by and based on the designs of jewelers from the Flensburg region.

Now the company is run by Oliver Berking, after 12 years of working at his father’s side, and became the 5th generation to take over the reins.

ROBBE & BERKING
is still inspired by the motto of Oliver Berking’s great great grandfather: “Others may make it cheaper, but none may be better.” Collections are still designed and produced in respect of traditions and craftsmanship, with the same approach of when it all started in 1874, totally produced in the workshops in Flensburg.

HANDMADE. Few artisans remain to do the job… Silversmiths and goldsmiths are some of the oldest professions in the metal trades. These professions require the utmost in workmanship and artistic creativity. The finest materials and the high art of the silversmith continue to make the difference when it comes to the unrivalled quality of each and every ROBBE & BERKING product.
So it is not lifestyle, fashion or a desire to consume that leads you to ROBBE & BERKING, it is the need for timeless elegance and the highest quality.

ROBBE & BERKING’S
Collection

STERLING SILVER

Sterling silver is harder than pure silver and, as such, durable and suitable for dishwasher. No other silver enjoys as high an international reputation as sterling silver. The hallmark on the rear of the cutlery confirms the quality and origin. The crescent and crown are the symbols for the silver and the country of origin. A table setting with top-quality sterling silver cutlery from Robbe & Berking is the ultimate look for excellent taste, luxury and beauty.

150g MASSIVE SILVER-PLATED

Besides the cutlery in sterling silver, Robbe & Berking also offers silver-plated cutlery. The silver-plated cutlery is, however, not presented in the conventional 90g silver-plating, but in the more valuable 150g massive silver-plated, a development being led by the Robbe & Berking laboratory.

The silver layer is up to two thirds thicker, thus significantly lengthening the lifespan of the product. The high quality of the silverplate means that even the 150g massive silver-plated cutlery from Robbe & Berking is dishwasher safe. The 150g silverplate by Robbe & Berking can be distinguished by a special hallmark on the rear of the cutlery: a mammoth.

STAINLESS STEEL

The high quality processed Stainless-steel cutlery from Robbe & Berking unites function, material and design in a perfect harmony. The same stringent standards are applied to their stainless-steel flatware as the Flensburg manufacturer demands of its pure silver and silver-plated flatware.
